Wrinkling the forehead, squinting the eyes, frowning the eyebrows: these are gestures that are part of our everyday life but which favour the appearance of wrinkles and expression lines.
Erasing the first signs of ageing, having a smoother and brighter skin and a more youthful appearance is a desire shared by men and women of all ages.
In aesthetic medicine, injections or infiltrations of botulinum toxin are mainly used to smooth out wrinkles in the upper third of the face, the so-called “expression lines”, caused by continuous contraction of the facial muscles.
Botulinum toxin acts directly on the muscles responsible for their formation, and thanks to its myorelaxant action, allows them to be smoothed out for a prolonged period, giving the face a relaxed and relaxed appearance, preserving facial expression, without resorting to surgery.
The procedure is particularly suitable for the correction of:
Gabellar wrinkles, i.e. the vertical wrinkles that form between the eyebrows;
Lateral periorbital wrinkles, known as crow’s feet wrinkles;
The results are visible two or three days after treatment and last between 4 and 6 months, after which the treatment can be repeated.
